How to order.
Buying a Pelèr is as simple as writing a letter. The coat is already finished and numbered: you choose it, you pay, and it leaves folded in tissue paper with its number written by hand.

Alterations can be asked for in the notes field at checkout: we read them before we begin.
Receive the coat.
We prepare the parcel as soon as the garment is ready and hand it to a tracked courier. Where alterations are needed, we confirm the dates in writing, separately from transit.
Where we ship.
Orders are shipped from Italy with tracked delivery. Shipping within Italy is complimentary: the cost is already in the price of the garment.

One-of-one pieces and numbering
Are the Pelèr coats one-of-one pieces?
Yes. Each coat exists once only, in the size given on its card, and carries a number from N° I to N° V. Once sold, that piece does not come back. See the collection.
Can I try it on before ordering?
Yes. The atelier in Arco is open by appointment, Tuesday to Saturday. Book here. If you cannot come in person we can arrange a video call to check the size together.
Can I ask for alterations?
Yes: length, sleeves and waist can be adapted. Write to us before ordering, or book a visit to the atelier in Arco; small alterations are included in the price.
What if the coat is damaged?
Every natuRa.Ely garment can be mended. Bring the piece back or send it to us, we look at the damage and tell you the cost and the time. For small changes to length or sleeves, write to us.

Do the prices include VAT?
Yes. Prices shown are final, VAT included.
Will I receive an invoice?
Yes. An invoice is issued for every order and a PDF copy is emailed to you within twelve days of payment. If you are ordering as a business, add your VAT number in the notes field at checkout.

How long until the coat arrives?
If the piece is ready in the atelier we prepare it and send it as soon as we can, by tracked courier. Where a garment needs alterations, we confirm the dates to you in writing before we begin; they count separately from transit. If you need it by a particular date, write to us before ordering and we will find a way.
Do you ship outside Italy?
At present, delivery is available in Italy only. Shipping is complimentary and tracked.
Fabrics, dyes
and garment care
What fabrics do you use, and how do you choose them?
Only natural fibres from traceable supply chains: wool, cashmere, alpaca, linen and peace silk. Every batch arrives with a certificate — the full list is on the fabrics page.
How do I clean a plant-dyed coat?
Gentle dry cleaning only, without perchloroethylene. Between seasons it is enough to air it and brush it: plant colours keep better in the dark, away from direct sun.
Do plant dyes fade?
They change; they do not fade. Silk dyed with plants and properly mordanted holds its colour for years: with time it softens by half a tone, as natural linen or wool does. The real enemy is hours of direct sun, not time.
How do I wash plant-dyed silk?
By hand, in cold water, with a neutral soap or gentle shampoo — never an alkaline detergent or anything with bleach. Press the water out by rolling it in a towel, without twisting, and dry it flat in the shade. Warm iron, on the reverse.
Why do two dye baths never give the same colour?
Because the plant changes, and so does the moment it was gathered, the hardness of the water and the temperature of the bath. That is why every scarf is one of one: we can come close to a colour, never repeat it exactly.
What is the difference between botanical printing and bath dyeing?
In botanical printing the real leaves are laid on the silk, rolled up and steamed: the drawing of the leaf remains. In bath dyeing the colour is even, drawn out by decoction. We use both, often on the same piece — you can see it in the dye studio.
Can I learn natural dyeing at your studio?
Yes: we open the atelier in Arco by appointment for workshops in plant dyeing, botanical printing and shibori. You go home with the scarf you dyed yourself and the card of the plant you used. Write to us to arrange it.
