Pelèr N° I

The first of the series — the one in which we decided what the other four would be. A grey that shifts with the light off the lake, a standing collar ten centimetres high closed with a single button, and inside a lining that changes the colour of the coat the moment it opens.

Lining: Triple viscose dyed with pomegranate, botanically printed · African daisy and coreopsis flowers, oak and rowan leaves
Collar: Standing, 10 cm high, with a button
Pockets: Welt pockets, lined in botanically printed viscose
Buttonholes: Embroidered by hand, one by one
Buttons: Five 1960s buttons, plus one spare
